Investigation Unit 3 is part of the Department of Children and Youth within the Social Services of Hisingen.

The unit consists of two teams of 6 social workers each, two senior social workers, a unit manager, and an introduction coordinator. Our target group is children and youth aged 0-18 years. The tasks involve investigating and following up on interventions according to SoL and LVU. We place great importance on children's participation, and conversations with children and youth are therefore a central task. Our goal is to offer the right support and guidance with a focus on the child's best interests, together with the families. We actively strive to reduce the time we spend on documentation, in order to create opportunities for both a good working environment and focus on social work.

We are also keen to provide a safe start for new social workers, and therefore have a comprehensive introduction program. Both experienced and new social workers are offered further education to develop the competencies you need, as well as regular method supervision and close support from senior social workers and the unit manager.

We also think it is important to engage in health-promoting activities, and in 2025 we tried boxing, canoeing, and ice skating. We have new plans for 2026! Our wellness coordinators also offer yoga and meditation sessions to incorporate recovery during the workday.

Qualifications

• A degree in social work is required for the position.
• Previous experience as a social worker, preferably as a caseworker, but other social work experience is also meritorious.
• Approved background check in the criminal record is required for the position.
• A driver's license is meritorious.
• Knowledge of Treserva is meritorious.

About Us

The Social Services of Hisingen is part of the social services in the city of Gothenburg. We are one of four social services. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support in individual and family care, social emergency services, assistance with substance abuse, and integration issues. We also work with recreational activities and preventive work regarding public health, community planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
